With more than nine years of business experience in both Finance and Operations management and five years as a homemaker raising my four children, I have a very diverse level of experience which I will provide as a tutor. I have developed a complete battery of skills in English, Business, Mathematics and Social Sciences. Currently emerging from several years of medical disability, I have a lot to offer as I begin my return to the workforce. Tutoring is the next step on my journey. "What do you want to be when you grow up?" The life long question...I can remember responding with teaching. Life throws you curves, and I ended up in Business. I still have the desire to educate others and want to dedicate a part of my life to that dream. Each child has a unique way of learning. The key to success is identifying the best techniques. Once you find the correct methods, then the child can become better educated. I will strive to find the correct style, add enthusiasm, and find a way for the child to relate. I have always had a strong appreciation for education and learning new things. My educational experience was strengthened when I attended Cornell College, which has a strong liberal arts program. I immediately took an interest in the sciences and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology/Pre-medicine. My education was additionally complimented when I immersed myself in several language, mathematic, English, and humanity courses, which gave me a strong diversity in the liberal arts curriculum. Due to the smaller class sizes at Cornell, most of the exams were given in essay form, which strengthened my writing skills immensely.
