A Little Bit About Me...

Illinois State University is well known for their education program. Graduating from this university has filled me with pride and confidence in my ability to teach. I have taken many methods classes in which they taught me how to teach lessons in Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, Special Needs students, and Literacy. Also, I have taken many Spanish classes in college along with general education classes in biology, psychology, and mathematics. Completing these courses gave me the knowledge I needed to get an A in Student Teaching. Upon completing my Student Teaching, I observed many other teachers to gain more ideas and methods in managing a classroom.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Northern Illinois University with a BS in Elementary Education, I received my first teaching position as a special education teacher in the Rockford School District, 205. After two years, I moved into a 6th grade position, teaching Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. I received my Master's degree from Walden University in Middle Level Education with areas of concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies. I went on to teach 7th and 8th grade Language Arts. I am Title 1 certified and have 20 additional hours of training in the education field.
The description of my teaching style changes with each new class I receive. I am a strong believer in the Multiple Intelligence approach to teaching, as individual students learn in many different ways.
