I love teaching and helping others, especially children. I believe that there are "no stupid questions" and that all children can learn. I think that one of my best qualities is "patience" with others. I am a firm believer in teaching by example. I like to share my personal experiences of working hard and overcoming obstacles. I have just recently graduated from USF College of Medicine with a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences and hold a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois. I have extensive research experience in bioinformatics from the University of Illinois. I have one year experience tutoring in the underprivileged area of Urbana, Illinois; at Garden Hills Elementary I tutored kids from 3rd and 5th grade classes who had fallen behind the scheduled lesson plan. I won two national scholastic writing awards for my writing. I also studied at Rice University which is a highly selective university in Houston Texas. I majored in sociology and also took many intensive English classes. While a student at Rice, I tutored several of my peers in both sociology and english.
