If I can't get excited about my subject, why should my students? I believe anyone can meet their potential if they are given the appropriate surroundings and learning experiences. I obtained a strong liberal arts education where I was able to experience and learn about a wide range of academic topics. However, I have a strong focus and specialization in the sciences with a BA in both Biology and Chemistry with a Mathematics minor. Math and science has been a strong area of mine, as I was a Supplemental Instructor for a genetics course for two semesters, as well as being a Laboratory Assistant that assisted students with questions or problems during genetics laboratory. I have taken quite a few upper level courses that many students may find difficult in their collegiate years. I took General Chemistry I & II, Organic Chemistry I & II, College Physics I & II, Human Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Calculus I, Histology, General Biology, Pathophysiology, and Genetics to name a few. I come from a heavy science background and have been tutoring students since Junior year of high school. I have also completed several research projects at my undergraduate institution. I am willing to tutor college level courses because I have first-hand experience with them and know how frustrating times can be while in college.
