Today is a great day to learn something new!

I foster development of the whole student by encouraging critical thinking. My methods are adjusted to meet the students needs with an individualized approach. My goal is to promote self learning and help students develop necessary critical thinking skills.
I am a full-time high school teacher with over 12 years of experience in education. I specialize in Science, but have experience teaching and tutoring most levels and subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and have indeed taught everything from basic reading to dance class. I have tutored people that range in age from five to age sixty-two. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn if he or she is taught in a way that makes sense to that individual. Although I do not hold a teaching degree, I believe that my BA in psychology enables me to understand the learning process (and learning disabilities) in a way that is very beneficial to a variety of learners. A Little Bit About Me...

As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. I was a well rounded student which has afforded me skills in math, psychology, and English. I have worked as a rowing coach for many years and have the patience and drive to help you reach academic goals.
Teaching comes second nature to me. I believe that all students can learn, but each person requires a different style of instruction in order to fully understand the subject. I provide multiple kinds of instruction while keeping a patient and easy going mentality.
