I love all sorts of positive ideals of teaching, especially when the teacher gives students the power to teach themselves by relating everyday experiences, such as sights and sounds with different lesson planners. I understand how the human works in a classroom, some students will grasp concepts because of their up bringing and the results of having a balance home. I would say that my teaching style is very interactive. Anyone can give instructions but I love feedback from a one on one situation as well as a group environment. I base alot of my instruction on analogies; when a person can relate an experience or another word to a term being tought, their understanding is broadened and 99% of the time embedded in the longterm memory. That to me is not only developing the ability to draw on a built up knowledge base, but also broadens ones ability to convey what has been learned.

I received my first tutoring credential in the early 1970's specializing in prep-school placement tests, college-board prep etc. While attending Grad-School (Temple University) in the mid-70's; I worked as a substitute teacher in the Arch-Diocese of Phila. on a high-school level, primarily instructing History. When I graduated with my Bachelor of Science degree in 2002, I accepted a job at a small school in upstate NY that needed a PE teacher.
