Painting is one of my top subjects! I am well knowledgeable in painting with mediums such as water color,oil and acrylics. As well as setting up and preparing the canvas with your art work or idea of choice before use of one of these mediums .

I teach or Tutor accordingly to the age group I'm with.I have been in many tutor groups and shared with in the work. But I always take my time and ensure that the person knows what is being taught before moving on to the next material.
I went to college and obtained a degree in Fine Arts ,I've had many paintings and works shown in the galleries . But my main reasoning for going to college was not to learn how to but to become better and merge my self in the depths of art. Fine arts is a career that is opened to many forms of art besides drawing and painting ,such as sculpting and printmaking , but the main one is the knowledge and skill.I feel that have it all and and if You let me i can teach you to enjoy and take in as much as I did when i was learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught art to students since 1981. High school students have been my assistants through the summer youth employment program, for 3 NYC public mural projects. I have taught as an artist-in the-schools since 1985, teaching grammar school students printmaking and mural making, both in Brooklyn NY and in the Hudson Valley. Most recently, I taught homeschooled students drawing and painting in the New Paltz area of the Hudson Valley, NY.
I teach with a focus on self exploration plus knowledge of natural forms. In other words, I encourage students to express themselves in their own unique way, yet I teach all the natural forms, including fauna and flora, perspective and the human form, by drawing examples. I help students master the ability to draw what they see, encouraging composition, color, shading and personal style.
