I love teaching and helping others, especially children. I believe that there are "no stupid questions" and that all children can learn. I think that one of my best qualities is "patience" with others. I am a firm believer in teaching by example. I like to share my personal experiences of working hard and overcoming obstacles. I enjoy teaching. I believe all children have the ability to succeed in the subject of math. The key to teaching children math is to find out what motivates your students. Then I try to find away to incorporate their interest into the lesson so they relate with the subject at hand. I also try to observe my students to see what the best way to teach them weather it is hands on or just a simple explanation of the material.
I was a math tutor at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, VA from 08/03 to 07/07. I have also taught adult swim lessons and group swim lessons for children at the Ashburn Sports Pavilion in Ashburn VA.
