Having always been driven to achieve academic success, I received all A's throughout middle school and high school and was one of my high school valedvictorians. I then received full tuition to the University of Evansville and continued my academic success. My major required my to put in hours before and after the athletic teams practices and I have learned great time management skills as well as study skills. I tested out of all collegiate english, writing, and mathematics requirements. I have a natural ability to do well in math and science areas and enjoy writing. My teaching style is helping the student arrive at the correct solution. In problem based courses this is usually done through asking the student what they think the next step should be and guiding them through the process of problem solving. Once they start to understand problem solving then they do not only improve in the course that I am tutoring them in but in their other courses as well. In a nutshell I try to help students learn how to learn. I tutored all through college. I have tutored one-on-one and small groups, and I have also been a TA and taught a few class periods. In addition i tutored a student in High School in several subjects. Most of my experience tutoring has been in math, physics and engineering, but I am also fluent in Spanish.
