My teaching style is very well rounded. Meaning I utilize a vast array of tools, high tech to low tech. From smart boards (promethean), webquests via the internet, to old fashioned poster board in a cooperative learning atmosphere. In high school I tutored junior high students who were having trouble in with school. After high school I joined the U.S Navy, where I trained junior personal for three years. I used my G.I bill Benefits to attend the University of Connecticut, where I received my Bachelors in History with a minor in Political Science. I stayed at the UConn to complete my Masters in Education where I complete 15 weeks of student teaching. Most recently I have worked as a substitute teacher at both the middle and high school level. I feel it is important to understand what is different and unique about every student. Not all students will learn in the same way, nor will they find their desire to learn in the same way. Teaching is my passion. I work extremely well versed at working with kids. I have been working for a before and after school program for 2 years now. I believe in never giving up on any child.
