A Little Bit About Me...

In two words, I describe my teaching style as “being creative.” Children today are constantly bombarded with stimulating images so it becomes ever so challenging to maintain their attention. I have found that the way to reach these children is through creative learning techniques. For instance, when I was teaching 3 and 4 year olds at DCAP to add and subtract, I brought in household fruits and vegetables for them to use as visual aids. Not only did the experience help the pre-schoolers to master basic math skills, it also served as a way for them to learn to name and identify objects.
