Hate busywork? Me too! Why not make it MATTER?!

I believe in a highly individualized approach. We all have different learning styles: visual, auditory, kinisthetic... and many more. What's yours? Learning shouldn't be a chore, but an avenue to becoming a more successful person. My comments on tutoring Sculpting : I teach and work in papier mache, found object and clay sculpture.

I have been a dynamic, successful elementary, middle and high school teacher as well as college instructor of Art, English, French and History for many years. I also taught in a two way language immersion school ( English and Spanish) for six years so I can teach Beginning and Intermediate levels of Spanish. Art tutor, Homework tutor, Learning facilitator!

I work best one-on-one or in small groups, I can adjust my style to what a person needs after speaking with them for a while and understanding how they learn. I've found the best way to teach someone a new way of looking at something is to understand how they currently perceive it.
I have worked in art and graphic design professionally for the past 6 years, however I have been freelancing and creating art for myself since 1998. I previously worked for the Hayward Area Historical Society, which included assisting in design for exhibits as well as some teaching to visiting school groups. I have also been asked to teach small groups of children about art, or help with general homework on numerous occasions.
