My comments on tutoring Sign Language : I am deaf and I have been a signer since the age of 2. ASL is my first langauge and I can certainly help you make it one of your langauges.

When I tutor you, this will be a classroom style expierence. 1. I will teach Vocabulary initially 2. I will assign books to be read so we can have a discussion about the history of Deaf Culture 3. As we progress you will learn syntax, structure and conversational skills 4. I will also assign you to attend Deaf events so you can learn how to interact with the Deaf community at large and practice signing with people who have diffrent styles 5. There will be tests and quizzes. History: If there are school assignments I can help you understand what went on with the history in query. I will help one research for papers.
I have been signing since I was 2 years old. I was born Deaf and I have also have had history teaching sign language to others. I taught in my church for several years and I have taught in diffrent settings so that people feel comfortable signing. History ... read more
