I have a BA in Anthropology which means that I have experience working with diverse groups of people and have a certain understanding and appreciation of the differences among individuals. After graduating from Vanguard University of Southern California with my BA in English, I decided to enroll in the Education Program to receive my Single Subject English Teaching Credential. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I started tutoring students in subjects such as Math, English, Science, History, and Spanish, when I was merely a Junior in High School. I don't think there is a better feeling then to see a student be proud they were able master something they thought impossible. If I had to say what method I used to teach students, I would have to say that every student is different, and that what works for one may not work for the other. I would say my approach would be to first understand what may be causing them to struggle, then working from there to teach them to be confident in their ability, and providing the appropriate tools needed to succeed.

I may back track and ensure they understand the basic foundation of the principle they are learning, then move forward one step at a time, as they grasp each concept.
