My desire to teach stems from my hopeful view of youth. During the past seven years I have been successful in promoting access to higher education to youth of diverse backgrounds by organizing educational workshops and/or working directly on school campuses. I first discovered my love for teaching in high school. I excelled in many areas and helped my fellow students learn. As I furthered my education, my passion for teaching grew and my style changed. I have molded my favorite, and most effective, professor's techniques into my own hybrid. I use humor and compassion to develop the student's understanding. I try to teach to the student and not at them. I teach study habits that will help them learn more effectively on their own.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Chemisty with a minor in statistics. As an undergraduate, I tutored middle-schoolers in science and math as a volunteer at a local school. I was recently a substitute teacher, teaching all ages and in areas such as the biological sciences, algebra, calculus and psychology. I currently tutor a college student in mathemtics.

My bachelors of fine arts degree in interior architecture has enabled me to become proficient in subjects such as geometry, trigonometry, drafting, CAD, perspective drawing and rendering, environmental science, art history, and computer applications in PC and MAC.
