I have a relaxed, stress-free teaching style, while staying on task and topic. I make sure the pupils really understand the material by breaking things down to the basics, and reviewing the foundations. After reviewing and application of the concepts, I have my students switch roles and "teach" me the material. I believe if you can explain the material to someone else, you really understand it.
I double-majored in biology in chemistry in undergrad, so the field of science and medicine is my first love and my strength. I enjoy tutoring children with highly engaging activities !

I have been an AB student my whole life, and I was in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in high school. I consistently help my siblings with their homework (ages 5, 13, and 16), and have worked with after-school tutoring programs with friends. Whether teaching my son to read, guiding elementary school students through a discussion of the water cycle, or assisting a classmate with a term paper, I always try to employ the Socratic method. I believe that one teaches by asking questions rather than by providing answers. Things learned by rote are easily forgotten. By asking questions, the instructor fully involves the students in the learning process. There is nothing so satisfying to me as seeing students progress under my tutelage.
