I have historically been a sketch artist. This talent led to me into graphic design for advertising. I later majored in advertising and worked several internships and practicums with a variety of ad agencies and publication, including Southern Living. Over half of my 24-year is comprised of creative management positions. Recently, I decided to get back into higher education to earn my Masters degree in graphic design. I consider myself more of a facilitator than a dictator but I do expect my students to show initiative. My goal is for every student to succeed.

Education is my life. From a very young age, I loved school and learning. It all started with my brother and his learning disability. I tutored him all throughout his academic career. In college I tutored elementary students through the CARE program. I then decided to be an English Education major and have been teaching ever since. Currently, I am finishing my graduate work at East Carolina University and working on the addition of TESL on to my teaching license. As a graduate of an all girls private school (Peace College) in Raleigh NC, I have become a true leader in the female world. I have always been driven to make a mark in this world by setting by example. I have earned a BA in Communications, specializing in Public Relations and Advertising. Also minoring in Graphic Design, I have become pro efficient in computers and have an advanced expertise in Desktop publishing and basic through advanced computer skills.
