My comments on tutoring Basic Learning Skills : When I worked as a tutor at Huntington Learning Center, I tutored elementary aged students in basic learning skills such as writing, math and reading. I have also taught phonics in an elementary reading intervention program. After working with Kindergartners with low assessment scores they were ready to be promoted into first grade.

The most rewarding part of tutoring is seeing the smiles on their faces! That smile comes from the effort that results in understanding and achievement. My goal in tutoring is to help and assist your child in every way possible to accomplish success in school and throughout life. Reading is key to basic learning.
