My comments on tutoring Creative Writing : For the past 5 years I have worked with 4th grade students in school classrooms as well as tutored for FCAT Writes test. I have many tips and techniques to use when tutoring a student in writing.

As an English major in Education at the University of Alabama, I took many specialized courses in writing and reading. I learned many techniques for teaching creative writing and reading comprehension skills. For the past five years I have tutored students in FCAT writes techniques, reading skills and comprehension, and basic mathematics. Creative Writing is one of my top subjects! I graduated from Florida State University with a major in Literature and a minor in Philosophy.

Varies depending on the needs of the student. Reading material will be required, as well as take home assignments. My goal is to develop the creativity of the student and instill within the the ability to structure that creativity.
My tutoring experience is limited to a college classroom setting. I participated in the standard classroom roundtables that explored what made one another stories work and what didn't, while offering constructed ways to repair or expand on the themes the authors were exploring.
