I tend to be a hands-on teacher. I enjoy watching the light bulb "light up" when a new skill is understood. I do like to work face-to-face with students as It provides a more dynamic environment for both parties. I like to work the problem step by step until the process is not only completed, but comprehended. I have experience working with college-aged students, but am willing to work with all ages. I have a great working knowledge of all entry level mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, up through pre-calculus. I am also an avid user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, though Excel is my passion. I have earned top honors in each of these class levels through my Associates Degree in Accounting from Moraine Park Technical College and I am currently enrolled at Lakeland College earning my Bachelors Degree in forensic accounting. I think it's very valuable to try different tutoring methods to see what works best with the student. I'm very open to adapting to the student's needs. I have a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UW-La Crosse. I graduated in the spring of 2012. I was an on campus tutor and I tutored math from pre-algebra through Calculus II. I also have privately tutored algebra, pre-calc and AP Calculus. I have worked with students grade 5 all the way through the college level.
