My teaching style is adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to learn. The approach to learning is what makes the difference. Being a mother, I love children and am very patient. I also know that kids have their own distinct personalities and I address each child as an individual person, with their own talents and ideas. There is nothing better than when a person's face lights up, young or old, when they "get it." Knowing you have impacted a person, potentially for the rest of their life, is a reward in and of itself. The pay that comes attached to it is the bonus.

I finished high school with a high aptitude for Math and Science. I enjoyed AP Calculus, Ap Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Advanced Chemistry. After a year as an Engineering Major, I decided to switch to Music Education. I have a degree in Music Education. In Arizona I received my teaching certification in Secondary Methods and K-12 Music. In North Carolina I am certified K-12 Music. This past year I have been tutoring a Homebound student in tenth grade English, Earth Science, and World History. I have a healthy knowledge and fascination with all subjects with an aptitude for each one as well.

I love everything about working with children. I believe that everyone can learn if taught in the manner in which they can understand. A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated Cum Laude, in English literature. I have always done well in English, and have always enjoyed reading and writing. I was a member of STD, the English Honors Society, and loved helping out with various events. I have privately tutored middle and elementary school students, in which they all received better grades than the year before.
I really enjoy hands on learning/teaching style. I think students learn better by doing, though learning to take better notes helps with being able to do more hands on. I have always liked working with students, and have taken some education courses. I think it is very important to make learning more fun.

I am very open and ask for a lot of participation on behalf of the student. I feel that if they get involved and ask lots of questions that they will learn better. I love helping children and try and find creative ways to help them learn and remember their work at hand.
I have completed both an MBA and bachelors degree in business and during that education I studied a wide array subjects. Marketing, Finance, accounting, HR, and economics. As a Spanish/English graduate from UNCW I began teching Spanish at the Friends school Of Wilmington. I taught there for two years. In addition to Spanish I was a service learning coordinator, tutor, and yoga instructor.I then taught ESL in Columbus County for one year. In Columbus County I served as a translator and testing agent as well. I have tutored in Spanish, English, and math
I love teaching holistically. I belive strongly in differentiation, not everyone learns the same way. I belive in teaching children out themselves so that they can bulid better study habbits in all areas that they study.
