Expert Math Tutor

I attempt to answer questions and explain concepts with as much detail as possible, while letting students discover answers on their own. I try and let the student arrive at the answer as independently as possible. I explain concepts using technical terminology, lamen terms, analogies, examples, pictures, videos, or drawings, etc.
My educational intetests lead me to complete a wide range of subject-disciplines in Mathematics. I am a recent graduate of the Master in Teaching program at The Evergreen State College. I am a certified teacher in Washington state, endorsed to teach reading, writing, math and science K-8. Through my studies and student teaching experiences, I have worked with primarily first through fifth graders. In the realm of tutoring, I have experience tutoring struggling first through 5th grade readers in the Washington Reading Corps program.
