In May of 2009 I graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Chemistry. During my undergraduate career I worked a semester as a Supplemental Instruction Leader. My position required me to help further students understanding of Molecular and Cellular Biology. After I received my degree I spent a summer teaching Chemistry, Biology, and Physics to under-priviledged high school students for the Upward Bound program at The University of South Dakota. Currently I teach Elementary, Middle, and High School math for Tutor.com. I am interested in further tutoring positions as my Tutor.com position has limited hours available.

A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as the department tutor for a first semester calculus based physics course at my university. I also graded undergraduate physics homework for second semester calculus based physics. Throughout my undergraduate education, I worked as a research during the summer and post graduation, I spent continued school for a year as a graduate student. Then I took a year off to see the world as a consultant. Now I'm planning on going back to school full time in the fall for electrical engineering and am currently getting taking a few courses part time to prepare me for the return.
I try to present a concept or fact in several different ways so that I can resonate with the students thinking style. I have been told that I am a very good communicator and educator and can make concepts that seem complicated look much simpler and more comprehendible. I have taught laboratory techniques, molecular biology, development biology, and basic concepts of biology, but my major focus was encourage the students to apply the theoretical concepts of biology into practical laboratory work.
