I have a BS in Microbiology from the University of Alabama which includes Inorganic Chemistry (one year), Organic Chemistry (one year), and Biochemistry (one year) plus associated labs. I believe that the most important part of teaching is to find a way to communicate a concept to the individual learner. I love teaching because of the feeling of helping someone who is truly struggling in class! I believe that everyone can learn, but some teachers styles don't match up with the students learning style. I am a very patient and considerate person. I am a firm believer that many students can't learn strictly through theory and need to be walked through example problems. Walking through problems gives them a better visualization of what they are trying to solve.
