I graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a BBA in Accounting. I am currently completing my MS in Accounting through the University of Connecticut through their distance learning program. I earned a 3.0 at Texas A&M while working a full-time accounting job and I currently have a 3.93 at University of Connecticut, whihc I have also earned while maintaining a full-time job. I have worked with students through substitute teaching and tutored many students while at Texas A&M in accounting. I have a unique passion for the world of accounting and have a desire to share that passion with other students. I know that a students instructor or tutor can make or break their desire to learn a particular subject. I am a driven individual who has obtained a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Child Welfare in addition to a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. While attending graduate school I worked as a substitute teacher which allowed me to gain experience working with children of various ages and levels. I enjoy working with children and families and being able to positively impact and enrich their lives. For the past 7 years I have taught psycho-educational groups, in my most recent place of employment I worked hands on with young adults helping them develop independent living skills. I am fluent in Spanish as I grew up speaking the language in addition to some formal education to improve on grammar and spelling. I have always been excited to help others succeed. I have a young daughter myself, so I am very interested in early childhood development.
