A Little Bit About Me...

I have learned that if people do not enjoy the experience of learning the guitar, they will have no motivation to continue and be successful. In fact, this has been my own personal experience down through the years. I focus on discovering students’ preferences and habits in order to make the lessons and learning fun in a way that will keep them picking up the instrument at home. That seems to be the main issue – getting students to spend time with the instrument IN THEIR HANDS.
I have studied guitar since1972. I have taught thousands of lessons from informal setting with children to college level courses to older adults individually and in groups. I have played various stringed instruments in professional and other performing bands for most of the past 20 years.
