My comments on tutoring HTML : My experience with HTML come from the Military where I designed a webpage for a unit deploying overseas.

I have over instructing military students in various subjects. Those areas are military subjects and computers. A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with a minor in math. I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
I have taught classes for students ranging from high school to adult with course material from the very basic to highly advnced concepts. I was known for covering curriculum material in a through and patient manner. My teaching style could best be described as a pyrimid approach, a firm understanding of basic principles before moving to the next level of complexity.

I earned a BS in Computer Science from Berry College with a minor in Animal Science and one class short of a second minor in English. During my senior year I worked as a teaching assistant, helping the freshman programming class complete their assignments as well as grading their work and running study sessions. I just finished a master's in computer science at Rice University (degree to be awarded December 2010) and during my time at Rice I was a TA both for their freshman class as well as for the advanced Operating Systems class. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without. To me, the process of asking questions and allowing the student's curiosity and intelligence to reach conclusions is far more effective than one-sided lecturing. I am endlessly creative, coming up with myriad examples to illustrate concepts.
In 2006 I taught graphic design topics at Westwood College. In 2007 I taught the same subject at The Creative Circus (roughly equivalent to an MBA program for designers, writers, photographers, and art directors).
