I worked 8 years as a Chemical Engineer, and 4 years as a Control Systems Engineer on missile defense. I stayed home for 12 years to raise my children, then returned and got my masters to teach Chemistry. Therefore, it is my goal to speak as much in the target language as possible in order to increase exposure to the language. I also believe that repetition is key, but through interactive games and everyday tasks, the rote memorization disappears within the layers of common use. I worked for 11 years in Virginia as a paraprofessional in the school system, originally doing strictly homebase work with handicapped children, then moving into the schools. I worked with middle school children faced with a wide range of disabilities and disorders, including ADHD, Downs, emotional issues and hearing impairments.
