As a psychology major, at the beginning of my education, I discovered that I had a love and talent for mathematics. Thus I pursued a dual degree in Psychology and Math. I started tutoring algebra and calculus as soon as I learned the subjects, recieving straight A's all through community college. In the Psychology Department I ended up teaching my own statistics class, later teaching statistics as a community college instructor for the Los Angeles College District. For psychology, I have conducted many quantitative and qualitative research projects, developing a strong background as a quantitative analyst. I love to teach and conduct statistical research.

A Little Bit About Me...

Education has always been my passion. While earning my Bachelor's degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, I was approached by a professor and asked to work as a teaching assistant with her graduate (M.A. and Ph.D. level) students. I was concurrently hired as a tutor and supplemental instructor for math, economics, and business courses. While working towards my M.B.A at Humboldt State, I taught numerous courses in the business discipline. I'm now an associate faculty member at College of the Redwoods teaching business technology courses.
While at Humboldt State, I completed the College Faculty Preparation Program. This program significantly improved my teaching pedagogy. I hold a BA in English from Saint Olaf College and studied a variety of subjects during my time in the Liberal Arts program. I have worked with many college graduates helping them prepare for the GRE in both the English and Math sections, as well as assisting high school students in preparing for their SATs and ACTs. I have also worked with younger students helping them learn beginner level French as I studied French, English and math through college. I am able to tutor math from beginners through geometry, algebra, and pre-calculus.
