A Little Bit About Me...

Because I went through the accelerated program I understand the need of hands on activities and alternative learning styles. I bring these into my teaching. I also am a firm believer that doing a lot of problems is the best way to get good at a subject, especially math.
I am a high school senior and have been tutoring peers since middle school. Because I am so young I have very few official tutoring hours, however I do mentor freshmen through our highschool EAP program and younger girls through the STEM program. I work well with students in 6th grade and higher. My strong subjects are in math. I self-studied and tested out of Geometry as an 8th grader and am currently in AP Calc 2. Great Question. I have been in classes where I found learning a challenge. This is what makes me unique as a teacher. I build a relationship with the student. I do my best to not only explain the material, but how they can possibly use it in the future. I also have the best patience.
