I love that look that you get from a child who gets what you are teaching them. When the light bulb turns on, and you know that they understand the process. That's what makes it all worth it. My teaching style is that with enough work, any child can succeed. They just have to know they matter to the teacher. I am a hands on learner myself so visual tools help me to teach the concepts to students.
I am a graduate of Clemson University, with a BA in Biological Sciences. I have always enjoyed biology since my first AP class my Junior year of high school. After college graduation I worked for six months in a cancer research lab, which gave me the knowledge of "real life" science and how that effects our lives I have worked as an after school and summer camp counselor which has helped me learn how to relate to them, and teach them material they are learning in school.

In May of 2010, I received my BS in Biological Sciences from the University of South Carolina. In addition, I have a cognate in Landform Geography. I hold a Academic Grade Point Average of 3.887/4.0, and I am a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. My favorite biology courses include cellular and molecular biology, although I hold extensive knowledge in all apects of the biological sciences including physiology, histology, bacteriology, genetics and plant biology.
