I have been providing tutorial services for more than 10 years. My first tutorial assignment was at Edgecombe Community College in 1993. I worked one-on-one with students that were having difficulty in College Mathematics, Computer Technology, and Chemistry. Within the same year I also worked at Nash Community College tutoring students in Electronics Technology and Mathematics. In 1999, I taught middle school math. Based on my college transcripts, which displayed my engineering math courses, I was immediately promoted to teaching high school mathematics. Most of the students I taught where underachievers, repeaters, or transfers from AP courses. The school’s guidance counselor recognized my ability to inspire and motivate these students to become successful. After which, I was given the opportunity to work in developmental mathematics.
