As a student I have always been very ambitious and excited to learn. I graduated from high school in the top 5 of my class and graduated from college with honors. I have earned a bachelor degree in Physical Education and currently have a valid Iowa teacher's certificate. Throughout my education I have gained experience in teaching and working in many different settings. The following year I was offered a position as yearbook adviser, and I further developed my skills with high school students. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe in setting goals and working to ensure they are accomplished. In my opinion, learning should never feel like a boring chore. The student should be working hard, but enjoying him or herself in the process, and this is when the most efficient and effective learning occurs. I work to impart certain values in the students I serve, including: fortitude, imagination and pride.
While I earned my bachelor's degree in communication from Loyola, I also worked as an Academic coach for high school students. I spent a year tutoring students for an academic competition that tested all skill areas including, writing, math, history and science. I spent the summer of 2006 working closely with people with disabilities. I perfected my teaching skills through hands-on learning/teaching techniques.

In the area of special education I have taught students from age 3 to 16 with Mental Disabilities for 8 years.
