A Little Bit About Me...

My philosophy of teaching is to train the student to think like a scientist and/or mathematician. It is not just about getting the right answer but rather understanding the fundamental principals of a subject. This enables the student to try previously unseen problems and succeed. I also believe in varying the techniques used. If a student has trouble with their teacher or text books approach, a different method should be explored. Imparting true understanding is a satisfying experience that I always aim for.
I am a graduate student transitioning from physics to astrophysics, my goal being a PhD in Astrophysics. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Physics with a minor in astronomy.
