My comments on tutoring Communications : This is such a broad subject. It would depend on what in communications you were looking for for me to rank my proficiency.

I recently graduated with a double major in theatre and public relations. I've been doing both for 5 years. In theatre I have been both on and backstage for numerous productions as well as assisted three Acting I classes throughout my college career. I've directed, stage managed, acted, designed, built, and teched over 20 shows in total. In public relations, I've written press releases, news articles, made media press kits, interned at a non-profit organization where I created marketing materials with InDesign and Photoshop.
With acting or theatre, I like learning my subjects style of learning and going from there. It's very easy to coach someone through an acting exercise once you know the way that they learn the best. In Public relations, it is a bit harder to figure out the best way to teach each person, because it is a more straightforward, fact based art.

I have taught K-3rd grade in reading, math, writing and speech skills for 5 years as a teacher's assistant. I have also taught English as a second language to adults who were incarcerated for 5 years. My English and communications are excellent and I am very creative when teaching the above subjects. 25 plus years as a Business Executive. 4 year instructor at Lake Technical Center and 2 years working with students needing to pass the FCAT at Eustis High School. Many of my Lake Tech students were of the at risk category, so I had to learn how to speak their language(so to speak).
I have learned that no two students learn quite the same and I try to find what motivates them and work in that area. At Eustis High School, many could read, but not comprehend so I worked one on one, sentence by sentence so student could learn to comprehend as well as read the words.
