After graduating from Susquehanna University in 1993, I began substitute teaching for my former elementary school in Lincroft, NJ. I then took a full-time preschool teaching position for one year. During that time, I also tutored a first-grader weekly in math and language arts for a span of approximately nine months. After getting married and moving to PA, I took another full-time pre-K position for two years. I became a mom in 1997 and decided to stay home to raise my three children for nine years.
