Literature is one of my top subjects! Literature encompasses reading at all levels, while focusing on the form and the meaning of the work studied. Lessons will include discussion, with emphasis placed on discovering and evaluating meanings inherent to the works presented. Comprehension and retention as well as opinion will be stressed. Good writing skills and oral articulation will be fringe benefits to the literature student. *Can be focused to a particular genre or author (such as "Epic Literature" or "Shakespeare" or "Romantic Poets")

Hands on, project based. Whether with a group or one-on-one, I consider learning to be best experienced when all five senses are utilized to their maximum potential. Students of all ages will learn through creative game play, creative projects, and creative writing.
Throughout undergraduate and now graduate work, I have always had a passion for passing along what I know, in hopes of teaching and inspiring, and developing others. All throughout high school I tutored younger kids with homework or specific needs in classes. I'm very flexible and very hands-on with my teaching. As a visual learner, it helps me to have a visual aid whenever I can and I employ that in my teaching. My strategy is to make learning fun for the students.
