My comments on tutoring Political Science : Political science was my focus throughout K-12, as well as being my major area of study in college. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in this specialty, and never made below an "A" average. I also have practical experience in this area, having worked at the local and state government levels.

I like to use the Socratic method, mainly by asking questions and challenging assumptions. In addition, I like to engage those I teach, challenging them to think about what they previously have not considered. I believe in building on successes, and offering constructive criticism, where appropriate.
I have mentored various people since 2000, in all types of subjects, including math, science, social sciences, English, writing, literature, and other related subjects. My academic record is very strong, and I believe empowering those I work with every single time. The only pre-requisites are that you have to be willing to learn, and learn how to learn.

As a graduate from UNC Charlotte, I was blessed with the opportunity to earn a B.A. in English, as well as a professional certification in techncial writing and editing, which has afforded me both knowledge and experience in both journalism and technical media. In addition, I have acquried extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers, as well as conducting articles which were seen by more than 30,000 subscribers nationwide at my previous publication
It is my belief that every student yearns to acquire an education. As a history major at Western I had to read many books and an accelerated rate. Also being an English minor I gained analytical and grammatical skills to help better understand pieces of literature I had to read and I can pass those skills to other students.

As a teacher with ten years of experience I have taught all ages of students K-12. Most of my experience is in ESL. I am certified Elementary K-6, ESL K-12, Social Studies, Geography, Sociology, American History, and World History all 6-12.
