My comments on tutoring Drawing : Whether a simple black and white drawing or an extensive life-like color drawing I can guide you to the heights of your talents.

I am a self-taught artist that has been drawing since the day I could pick up a pencil. I won many contests from Grade School up to High school. I now, as an adult, have hundreds of art pieces to my name, mostly portraits ranging from simple black and white pencil to in-depth Prismacolor pencil drawings. I also use watercolor, acrylic paints, and ink in various other pieces of art. Most of my time within the past couple of decades has been raising my children and working with Special Education students. As a student I was most drawn to the ideas of Piaget and Gardner. Their teaching philosophies made the most sense to me when it came to teaching. Piaget focused on the idea of play as learning. This may sound strange to some, but a child is always learning, no matter they are doing, due to the fact that so many experiences are totally new to them. When children stacks blocks they are exploring many scientific concepts such as balance, gravity, cause and effect and many others. When children scribble with crayons they are exploring many concepts of art and aesthetics. Gardner describes the idea of multiple intelligences. Everyone is good at some aspects of learning and less so in others. Children learn in many different ways.
