Communications is one of my top subjects! I have a PhD in Educational Leadership, a master's in English, and have taught at a four-year university and a two-year college (including compositions, communications, and public speaking). I have also worked with HS students in college preparation skills.

A Little Bit About Me...

I am a hands on kind of teacher. I like to find ways to make teaching come to life and be a fun and enjoyable experience for the student. The more one on one I can be the better. I think you can be a better teacher when you know and understand your students more. I still maintain a great relationship with girls I counseled at camp back in 2001 and 2002. Many of my students from Korea also still keep in touch with me. Building a relationship is very important to the learning process. I like to take students to places they've never been before. A Little Bit About Me...

What I have discovered about myself is that I learn differently from other people. I am the kind of person who prefers to set aside that assembly instruction manual and put together that Christmas toy by laying out the pieces in an orderly fashion. There is so much pleasure in problem solving. I learn by asking myself questions. I have little patience for mundane drills and memorization if they can be avoided. Each child is different.
