I am 23 years old and strive for excellence constantly. I currently have two jobs and a child. I work hard for my family and make sure that I do my best in everything that is put in front of me. I have made it through high school and college. I have worked with younger children as well as older children. I like to be challenged and will learn with anyone and everyone I work with.
I have many ways of teaching. I like to make the experience rewarding, fun and educational. As I continue to work with others I find their strengths and weaknesses and do the best I can to make the experience fun and as stress free as possible. I have been a substitute teacher for the last 6 years. I have taught PreK-12th grade in all subjects. I have been tutoring kids for 2 years and have really enjoyed it. A Little Bit About Me...

When teaching a math lesson I begin by going over skills already mastered that lead to the lesson at hand. After teaching the new material I then have the student try a similar problem while I watch. If necessary I coach them along, pointing out any problem areas. Then I require the student to try more of the same type of problems until he or she has mastered the new material. It's very important to me that the student understand what he or she is doing and why it works. In other words, I don't just teach them how to do individual problems.
I have enjoyed teaching in private schools of and on for the last 22 years. My bachelor degree in math and my years of experience in the classroom have allowed me to develop successful methods of student motivation and classroom discipline.
