I enjoy children and trying to teach them new and exciting things. At times, I understand that it requires patience to work with children, but if you are able to do that then chances of success are much more likely. I believe that everything we teach to these children will be needed sooner or later in life, and that the understanding of this knowledge will further improve their lives. I chose this major because I am fascinated by children, and how they all develop at their own individual rate. I am patient and kind, but at the same time, I like push a child to reach the potential that they usually do not ever realize they have. Children have different methods of learning and unfortunately, classroom settings do not meet all the students' needs. Some are more hands on, while some are just listeners. I like to find out what works best for the child, and go from there.
