A Little Bit About Me...

I am a discussion based teacher. I prefer to engage the students higher level thinking with a questioning approach. I do not think that lecture or rote memorization are proper ways to educate a child. I believe that teachers affect a students learning not just through the subject but also through the real world examples that should be the core of all learning. Students will only reach their potential when they are challenged beyond what they feel they are capable.
I am blessed to have attended a college that prepared me for real world situations and classroom circumstances. I have achieved two bachelor's degrees, a BS in bible and a BS in elementary education. A Little Bit About Me...

I like to accommodate to a child's personality and likes to help them to learn through distinct processes. When given the opportunity in the correct manner, children can learn most of what is put in front of them. By using example catered specifically to certain children, they are able to connect to the tutor as well as the subject. As a tutor, I am kind, laid-back and patient. Younger kids seem to gravitate to me, while the older kids relate to me.
Coming from a family with no prior college education, I made it a point to not only graduate from a four-year university but to work as hard as I could to be the best at what I do.
