I love helping students learn. I am very patient when it comes to teaching. I make myself readily available for my students and I do whatever I can to help the students learn. Today's learners are very familiar with technology. Luckily, I have had the opportunity to work in many technology-advanced schools so I, too, am familiar with the use of technology. I have taken numerous classes in mathematics which include Single Variable Calculus, Multi-Variable Calculus, Differential Equations, Complex Variables, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Probability, and Random Processes. In addition, the focus of my graduate coursework was in the areas of signal processing and communications which use the theory from these math courses. I have found that any student can learn. The key to a student's success is that education must be approached in the correct manner for that individual student. Not all students learn in the same fashion, and that must be considered in planning and implementing lessons. I believe that education needs to be approached in a fun way that coincides with the student's individual interests and learning styles. If the student loves sports, I would find innovative ways to include that in my tutoring so that he/she would stay focused and retain information. Furthermore, I firmly believe that education needs to be approached in a constructivist manner. A foundation needs to be established, upon which new skills can be built.

I like to first show a basic example of the problem, then show how the problem can be solved. I will then show another example that is a little more involved. After this, I let the person being mentored try solving a similar problem.
I implemented and maintained custom code for a number of clients, and I performd lead programmer functions and mentor others. Every few months I conducted "lunch and learns" for programmers and analysts. During these sessions I would describe what code was doing in a particular module. This would help them with their implementations.
