I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelors degree in Biology and immediately started graduate school at the University of Toledo in the Molecular and Cellular Biology Masters program. I attended UT in this program from 2003 to 2006 and am currently working on finishing my degree. Throughout my graduate experience I was a teachers assistant for various biology courses. I taught Introductory Biology I, Introductory Biology II and Microbiology. Teaching is very subjective. Each individual learns according to his/her own style. What I find challenging and rewarding is to find that point where it “clicks”. I believe the best way to learn is through experience and discovery. As an example, I can describe the intelligence of an octopus.
