Learning Math can be FUN!

I try to explain concepts by explaining the methods behind them. Once a student understands the concepts, it is easier for them to apply them to other problem situations.
With over 35 years experience teaching math, I have successfully taught students from third grade through college calculus. I enjoy math, and my students are able to understand it in a one-to-one teaching environment. During this time of closed schools, it is difficult for students to understand and adapt to this new way of learning. Many teachers are overwhelmed as they had to change their teaching methods with just a couple of months remaining in the school year. As an UNCC graduate, I got the opportunity to obtain a broad and in-depth knowledge in the field of Electronic Engineering. I earned a BS and an MS in Electronic Engineering which gave me the opportunity of gain an understanding in the areas of math and science, including Calculus, Differential Equations, Statistics, Physics and Quantum Physics. In addition, I have been able to use this knowledge in the past ten years and apply it in the industry, exercising problem solving skills in the engineering field.
