Poetry is one of my top subjects! I have a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing Poetry and Prose which includes extensive studies in American, British, World Poetry; Epic Poetry; Modern and Post-Modern Poetry; Emily Dickenson; poetic analysis and close reading.

I have taught 6th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. I expect hard work and dedication. I use classroom-tested teaching strategies that include but are not limited to role-play, reader-response, kinesthetic and tactile movement, drawing, and holistic engagement in the "story-world" to help students understand and connect to the literature. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently completed a Youth Staff contract aboard Royal Caribbean. Along with entertainment, we promoted learning and creativity, offering educational activities through science experiments, and expression through art projects, theme nights, and parades. I've taught English classes for kids/teens in Brazil, and led equestrian programs in Greece for troubled and disabled local children. Prior to leaving the US, I filled my passion tutoring “at risk” children after school in Buffalo, and working to develop language skills through cultural activities for families in Boston.
