I try to understand the level of where the children are and build on that. I am patient, considerate, consistant, non-judgmental and feel it is not too early to start teaching or a child to learn. There is so much children can learn and we, as adults, can learn from them.
I found working with young minds in different Early Childhood agencies is one reason for earning my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I then wanted to expand my enjoyment and empower others by obtaining my BSW. I have wanted to be a Social Work ever since high school. I have a degree in elementary education with endorsements in reading and history. I also greatly enjoy teaching writing. I taught Pre-K for two years with a focus on reading, writing, and math. I was a nanny for a year for five and seven year old. I would assist with homework and practice reading skills. I currently am subbing in various classrooms and teaching general subjects from Kindergarten to Middle School. I have a passion for teaching and really enjoy helping children learn.
