A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated National-Louis University with a 3.7 GPA, and am also in the Kappa Delta Pi honors society for teaching. I have had many years of experience in the classroom, and with many different programs. I also have tutored previously for Sylvan tutoring. I am a Golden Apple Scholar, which is a prestigious award for teaching scholars that I won my senior year of high school. My experience has mostly been with younger students but recently I have tutored some high school students, as well.
I am very passionate about teaching. I am a very hands-on type of teacher that really likes to get the student involved in their learning. Over the past 12 years, I have worked in both the private and public sectors of the education community. I have taught grades 7-12 in all areas of science. I have also been the director of a learning center, where I started as a tutor. The years of experience have taught me a great deal about children of all ages and abilities.
