I currently teach Algebra 2 and PreCalculus at Ravenna HIgh School in Ravenna, Michigan. I have taught there for 21 years.I have taught Algebra 1 and Pre-Algebra as well as 7th grade math. I consider Algebra 2 my strong point. I help students prepare for the ACT. I have online resources as well as printed practice tests.

I enjoy teaching and working with all children. I grew up as a teacher's son and now I am a teacher's husband so I have experience exploring different methods to help children learn. I believe I can pass on my education and experience to students and give them real world applications of the material they are studying. I am a highly qualified special education teacher, with an endorsement in language arts. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University in 2008. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a simple teaching style. I teach according to the students needs. I try to get a sense of how the student learns best and let them direct me to what they need. I teach the student to teach themselves. I have had great sucess with my approach in the past, as this is a very self-rewarding experience for the student. I have often found that students soon catch-on and then begin to excell on their own. I have used these techniques to tutor algebra, geometry, algebra II and psychology, political science, anatomy and physiology. I love to see that look in a students' eyes when they "get it!"
